  What the heck????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, so I am listening to my fave radio station STAR 94 (http://www.star94.com) on my way from the doctor and enroute top the K-roger (kroger). Well the host, Ray, was curious about people who dated multiple people at the same time after a conversation he overheard at Piedmont park this weekend. They invited people who were currently dating 3 or more people to call in. WELL, a 20 yr.old called in and talked about how she was dating 15-20 MEN!!! WHAT THE HECK!!! She went on to explain that they were on a rotation system-and that her grandma and mom did this, too (they taught her!!!!) No intimacy involved before she has chosen them to have her next relationship with. They then asked her about the guy who had been on the rotation the longest...some guy has been for about 10 months. They also asked if it had worked for Mom and Grnadma (yep!) Okay, so here are my thoughts besides the ever poplular and redundant WHAT THE HECK!!!!!
1. What kind of guy would put up with this? She stated these men were all out of college and past the college age. She has dated a cop in most surrounding counties, too , she bragged (helped her out of 3 tickets thank you very much!!!! LOL) . WHAT THE HECK!!!!!!! Most guys this age wouldn't put up with this!!!
2. What kind of relationship is one where you go that long without intimacy? I mean, A YEAR???
3. How can you date someone that long and not commit? She and the other girls that called in (yes all that called in were of the female species) said that they waited to see the one that showed her could give her stuff, blah, blah, blah. It was all about what material things or favors they could get, not friendship or support, or anything substantial like that.
Okay, now I know I am not up to par on the whole dating things but PUHHLEASE! These women kinda sounded selfish and self-absorbed. I am all about having my guy have respect for me and a guy treating me well, etc. But this was at a different level that what is in my head and what I look for, demand from from a guy.
Is it me or am I right? Should I be looking things more like these women? I mean one talked about if a guy was late a few times she would stop seeing him, her time is valuable. THAT to me is stretching it and having thyself WAYYYYY to high up on a pedastal. If that were me, I'd expect a call and good explanation...but hey, stuff happens. Especially in the ATL and traffic.
Thoughts fellow bloggers?

Comments:
that is positively bizarre

not only would i be intolerant of such an arrangement, but i would be really mad to learn i had been strung for that long

in an initial dating period i might tolerate it until i had beaten out (or not) the others, but not for very long...

maybe all the women that phoned in should be on that kind of pedestal, but i wouldn't be the guy to put them there or worship them there
